Baby Harriet is here!

Baby Harriet (Hattie) is here!

She was welcomed into the world at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, January 19th.  She weighed in at 7 lbs 4 oz and measured 20.5 inches long.
The labor and delivery went well and our entire family is getting to know to our newest member.

There will likely be much less time for sewing projects over the next couple of weeks - sleeping will trump sewing for now.  Although I'm already aching to sew again!

Thanks so much again to my sister who has been keeping up the Owly Baby etsy store.

(does that count as a smile?)

It's not pink - it's coral.

I've been trying to hold back from sewing for the new baby because we know we're having another girl.  Our newest addition will be using all of the same clothing as dear Lucille used.

BUT...I caved.  Sewing late into the night I mentioned to my husband that I thought the baby should have something special.  Something all her own.

Here it is.

I think it will be about 0-3 month size.  The pants will definitely be too long for a newborn, but overall I'm very pleased with the kimono style top.  It's made out of a soft and stretchy knit.

I had to rip out the snaps because I put them on backwards the first time.

Sometimes it's nice to have cute things - just because.

2 more weeks...

I'm so excited to meet our new baby girl!
I know she doesn't NEED any clothes, etc... but I had to make just one little outfit for her!  It's almost done...a cute little wrap top with matching pants.  I'm trying to get it done quickly, but another part of me thinks that the less prepared I am - the more likely it is she'll come sooner!

You can come out anytime baby!
